Online poker website Poker Room has launched an innovative game concept to attract more gamers to the site, by developing a team play format for some of its poker rooms.

The new system will allow gamers to team up with friends, co-workers and others and play online against other teams.

Members to the website can set up their own teams or join an existing set up, with the team founder managing the group and the team's wallet.

The size of the team can vary from a minimum of five to a maximum of ten, with each team playing in either leagues or 'eliminator' tournaments.
