Pacific Poker has announced the launch of its Mac compatible online poker room, opening up the online gaming market beyond PCs.

The online casino has introduced new software which will detect Mac operating systems and direct them to a specific page. This upgrade has seen a number of changes in addition to the Mac specific site, as users will also be given special WSOP qualifiers, and an upfront $100 bonus.

Pacific Poker said that it will pay the bonus as soon as the user deposits money to provide an incentive for them to try out the software.

The WSOP qualifiers meanwhile are the most recent upgrades to the Mac online poker software, giving users a special tab in the lobby where they can play in WSOP satellites in order to qualify for the main televised event.

The online casino said that in order to play online poker for Mac the user must have Safari or Internet Explorer and also a recent version of Java. However, the website said it plans to continually upgrade its software to provide the best quality software for Macs.
